Sum aka SuMoNe aka Jeff has been turning out killer cuts for the past few years w/ releases on Dubplatelet and Mos-Hi and upcoming releases on Renegade, Planet Mu, and iQ Entertainment. Being an avid video gamer, Jeff hacked his PSP almost immediately upon purchase, installing the freeware program PSP Rhythm. Using the advanced audio engine of the PSP and PSP Rhythm, he produced an entire album that spans several sounds from straight up Jungle to Dubstep to Trip-Hop to Breakcore.
iQ Entertainment is extremely proud to be using this creative labor of love as the official pre-release for our new digital label, iQD000. Our first official release will come after the first of the year featuring tunes from Sum, K-Step, and new comer Dave Owen.

Sutemos is a netlabel based in Lithuania, a small country I know absolutely nothing about. They have released lots of free music over the past few years and apparently to great acclaim all over the world. I went ahead and downloaded their “Intelligent Toys” compilations (there’s four of them already) and let me tell you… it’s really something. Highly recommended shit.
Artists featured on this label are both well known and completely unknown. Either way they are a bunch of talented little bastards. Some names you might recognize are: Ruxpin, Ulrich Schnauss, Digitonal, Ochre and Vladislav Delay. If you’ve heard their music, or if you are acquainted with labels like Toytronic, Warp, City Centre Offices and/or Din, then I think you know what to expect.
Just in case you don’t… The word ’sutemos’ translates to something like ‘nightfall’ (or ‘avondschemering’). That should give you a good idea.
Sherwin Nuland, the surgeon and author, talks about the development of electroshock therapy as a cure for severe, life-threatening depression. Midway through, his story turns personal. It’s a moving and deeply felt talk about relief, redemption and second chances.
